#10 Nebraska (9-1) coached by the legend Tom Osborne traveled to Norman for the first Big Red Battle of the 90s. OU, coached by Gary Gibbs, and led by quarterback Cale Gundy would romp Nebraska 45-10. It would actually turn out to be OU’s final victory over the Huskers till 2000. The starting quarterbacks for both teams would suffered game ending injuries, but this one would never be in doubt. Most say that this game, and the 1993 Texas win, are Gary Gibbs shining moments while at the helm of the Sooners.
