Bricktown Oklahoma City – The Fun District

Bricktown Oklahoma city used to be the old warehouse district which has since been turned into a night club and restaurant area conveniently close to downtown. Situated on the eastern part of downtown, Bricktown lies between the Lincoln Boulevard and E.K.Gaylord Avenue. The district includes the Sheridan Avenue, Reno Avenue and the Main Street.  

The warehouse district was renovated in an opulent manner and occupies the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Primarily it is an entertainment destination, crowded with condos, nightclubs, restaurants, shops, attractions, sporting facilities and a canal that is nothing short of spectacular. Gaining an almost physical revival, Bricktown went on to become immensely popular and has been a hot spot since the early part of the 1980’s.   
 
The district is famous for the rich choice of entertainment that is at the same time varied and diverse. It has always provided fun and enjoyment for the whole family ever since its inception. Whether you are at the Harkins Theatre watching a film, at the AAA Stadium witnessing a baseball game, dining and drinking at one of the many fantastic restaurants or living it up in one hot spot or the other, you can be sure of having a whale of a time in Bricktown Oklahoma City.

 
Other attractions abound in Bricktown. There is the Buffalo Corral close to the Amtrak railway tracks with its herd of buffaloes decorated by several artists. From here you can get a spectacular view of the city skyline. You can enjoy a refreshing canal cruise in a water taxi down the Bricktown Canal. Besides this there are Cocktail Cruises that are conducted on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6.30 PM to 10.30 PM. Buggy rides are also available around Bricktown. There are horse powered as well as human powered carriages and buggies available. 

There are many sports events also in Bricktown Oklahoma City like football base ball etc. You can see the famous Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and Oklahoma Redhawks in action at their respective home turfs. All these activities amply demonstrate the wide array of entertainment and pastimes available within the precincts of the famous Bricktown district.
